Terms of Use

1. Purpose
These Terms of Use (hereinafter "ToU") define the terms and conditions under which ST DIGITAL, operator of the CLOUDSTORE.AFRICA brand, makes its platform and services available to its users.
They govern access to and use of the cloudstore.africa platform, the customer dashboard and all associated features. These ToU supplement the Terms of Sale and the Billing Terms.
2. Definitions
- Platform: the cloudstore.africa website and the online customer dashboard.
- User: any person accessing the platform, whether account holder or visitor.
- Account: personal space allowing the User to manage services and information.
- User content: any data, file or information uploaded by the User to the platform or the CLOUDSTORE.AFRICA infrastructure.
3. Acceptance of the ToU
Access to the platform and creation of an account imply full acceptance of these ToU.
CLOUDSTORE.AFRICA reserves the right to modify the ToU at any time. Users are informed of changes by email or via a notification on the platform at least 30 days before they take effect.
4. Access to the service
The platform is accessible 24/7, subject to scheduled maintenance operations or cases of force majeure.
CLOUDSTORE.AFRICA strives to maintain high availability of the platform. Maintenance operations are notified in advance when possible.
Access to certain features requires account creation and subscription to one or more services.
5. User account
Creating an account requires providing accurate, complete and up-to-date information. The User agrees to keep this information up to date throughout the duration of service use.
The User is solely responsible for the confidentiality of their login credentials. Any action taken from their account is deemed to have been taken by them.
If unauthorized access is suspected, the User must immediately reset their password and contact support.
Enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) is recommended when available.
6. Intellectual property
All elements of the platform (trademarks, logos, texts, images, source code, interfaces) are the exclusive property of ST DIGITAL or its partners and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Any reproduction, representation, distribution or exploitation, in whole or in part, without prior written authorization is strictly prohibited.
The User retains full ownership of the content they upload to the CLOUDSTORE.AFRICA infrastructure. They grant CLOUDSTORE.AFRICA the usage rights strictly necessary for the provision of the service.
7. User obligations
The User agrees to use the platform and services:
- In compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Without infringing on third-party rights.
- Without compromising the security or integrity of the CLOUDSTORE.AFRICA infrastructure or that of other Users.
- By respecting the technical limits and quotas associated with their plan.
8. Prohibited behavior
The following are strictly prohibited on the platform and infrastructure:
- Hosting, distributing or sharing unlawful content (child pornography, hate speech, violence, discrimination, etc.).
- Counterfeiting and copyright infringement.
- Spam, phishing and any form of unsolicited mass sending.
- Using the infrastructure to attack third parties (DDoS, scanning, bruteforce, malware, botnet, etc.).
- Unauthorized cryptocurrency mining consuming excessive resources.
- Any attempt to circumvent the security measures of the platform.
Any breach may result in immediate suspension or termination of the service without notice, as well as reporting to the competent authorities. Abuse may be reported at the address listed in our Support section.
9. Personal data
Personal data collected as part of the use of the platform is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and our GDPR commitments.
The User has the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port their personal data.
10. Liability
CLOUDSTORE.AFRICA makes every effort to ensure the availability and security of the platform. However, its liability cannot be engaged in case of:
- Malfunction resulting from misuse by the User.
- Data loss attributable to the User or a third party.
- Temporary service interruption for maintenance or in case of force majeure.
- Content uploaded by the User to the infrastructure.
It is the User's responsibility to regularly back up their data.
12. Duration and termination
These ToU apply throughout the duration of platform use.
The User may terminate their account at any time from their customer dashboard or by contacting support. Termination results in account closure and, after a retention period, the deletion of associated data.
CLOUDSTORE.AFRICA may terminate or suspend access to the platform in case of User breach of obligations, without prejudice to any claim for damages.
13. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These ToU are governed by Cameroonian law.
In case of dispute, the parties will endeavor to find an amicable solution. Failing this, the competent courts of Douala will have sole jurisdiction, except for any contrary legal provisions.
